Charles Hurst Landrover Showroom, Boucher Retail Park, Belfast

Doran Consulting was appointed to provide the civil and structural engineering design services as a member of the Design & Build team for this new car showroom at Charles Hurst’s Boucher Road complex.

The 2-storey showroom is formed from a braced structural steel frame with exposed tubular steel members. The first floor office area was constructed using ‘Ribdeck’ flooring, designed compositely with first floor beams.

The building is supported on precast piled foundations and is clad with horizontally spanning cladding panels and glazed curtain walling. All design, interior and exterior, was in accordance with the Land Rover/ Range Rover corporate branding.

We also provided civil engineering design advice in relation to drainage, access and parking arrangements. This was a fast-track project which was ready to be opened for business 6 months after commencement to coincide with the launch of the new ‘Evoque’ Range Rover model.
