Bulk District Metering

This was a Partnering Contract with NI Water for installation of bulk flow meters throughout the Southern Division of NI Water, in County Armagh and South Down. The successful completion of this multiple site contract was largely due to the establishment of collaborative working between our already established Design & Build team, the Project Manager and the client.

The complete project involved the construction of 170 flow meter sites, each comprising the installation of flow meters, associated pipework & fittings, chambers, instrumentation control and telemetry.

The contract also included additional ancillary works to many reservoir sites, access roads, level monitoring, inflow control and chlorine monitoring. Upon completion of the contract, NI Water were able to implement a Leakage Reduction Strategy for this Division.

The successful team-working and client partnering established through this contract resulted in the extension of the contract into the Eastern Division with sites in Belfast and Bangor, Co Down being included.
