Project Summary
The Tilbury programme supports the development and renewal of marine infrastructure at one of the United Kingdom’s busiest working ports, addressing vessel operations, cargo handling, heavy loading, drainage, utilities, access and long-term exposure to the marine environment.
Expertise & Delivery
The project was delivered through surveys, condition assessment, structural analysis, option development and detailed design provided by Doran Consulting. The team collaborates with port operators, contractors, specialist suppliers and statutory stakeholders to integrate construction with ongoing activity and protect essential access and services. Design risk, temporary works, sequencing and interfaces with existing structures are reviewed throughout, while durable materials and inspectable details are selected on a whole-life basis. This coordinated approach supports operational continuity, asset resilience and future flexibility.
