Expertise & Delivery

The project was delivered from early design through construction, commissioning and handover, with Doran Consulting providing project management, civil, structural and process engineering services. The team prepared contract documents and specifications and managed three process contracts, including technical reviews of calculations, process and instrumentation diagrams, process flow diagrams, functional specifications and layouts. Level 2 BIM, federated models and virtual-reality presentations supported clash detection, stakeholder review, equipment coordination, construction sequencing and maintenance access. Civil design included separate stormwater, foul and process-effluent drainage and a site-wide spillage-containment strategy. Structural design comprised a four-storey steel-framed distillery, boiler house and utility structure with composite metal-deck concrete floors, coordinated with COMAH requirements.
