Doran Consulting Welcomes Dr Paul Keown as a New Technical Director

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Dr Paul Keown to the post of Technical Director from 1 January 2014.
Paul joined Doran Consulting in 1999 and was appointed to the post of Associate in 2006. He is a Chartered Member of both the Institution of Structural Engineers and the Institution of Civil Engineers and has 15 years’ experience in a range of structural engineering projects, with particular expertise in the retail, residential, office development, hotel and heavy industrial sectors.
Working for both public and private sector clients, Paul has advised on several local iconic projects, including the Ormeau Bakery development and the Bar Library, and further afield on large-scale commercial and industrial projects, having recently been commissioned to advise on the construction of the prestigious mixed-use commercial and residential Victoria Square development in Woking, Surrey. He also has experience in the renewable energy sector, having recently advised on several major waste handling and recycling facilities in England.
In addition to delivering large-scale projects to clients, Paul likes to participate in the wider engineering community and has produced several award winning technical papers on his projects, including the Bar Library development and Albert Clock Tower stabilisation.
