Doran Consulting project manage Queens Bridge Siphons Upgrade

Doran Consulting are projecting managing an NI Water scheme to upgrade the twin siphon sewers that cross under the River Lagan between Lanyon Quay and Gregg’s Quay and replace the associated chambers. Phase 1 involves the refurbishment of an old brickwork chamber on Oxford Street and the construction of a large new 9m deep chamber on Lanyon Quay. This relocated chamber will facilitate future maintenance of the siphons without impacting on Glider progress along Oxford Street bus lane. The Contractor, Dawson WAM Ltd have completed all required works on Oxford Street’s bus lane in advance of the implementation of the Belfast Rapid Transit Glider service in early September 2018.
