Celebrating the Completion of Phase 2 of the Ulster Canal Project

We're thrilled to announce the completion of Phase 2 of the Ulster Canal project.
Doran Consulting acted as lead consultant on this flagship cross-border initiative. The project was inaugurated last week, welcoming navigation from Clones to Clonfad and features:
- A new 40-berth marina with slipway and water recreation park in Clones
- An amenity area with parking and service block
- Two new access bridges, refurbishment of one original bridge and a new siphon under the river Lackey
- Approximately 1 km of new canal with towpaths and walking trails
The project completion marks a significant milestone that revitalises the heritage of the canal, enhances local communities and provides sustainable development. We extend our gratitude to all involved in the project. The collaborative approach made the delivery of the project possible. Together, we're creating a vibrant future for our shared waterways.
