We are currently seeking to encourage applications for the role of Associate within our busy Structural Engineering department.

Doran Consulting offers its Structural Engineers the opportunity to work on a wide range of BIM civil and structural engineering projects from key, landmark local developments to prestigious and innovative schemes across Great Britain, Ireland and further afield, for both private clients and public bodies.

An Associate joining our Senior Management Team will report to a Director and will assist the Directors in the day-to-day management of the company. The Associate will be involved in the commission management of our Structural projects, as well as the development of staff.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

-   Commission management of the design of structures in reinforced concrete, structural steel, timber and masonry. 

-   Supervision and management of a team of engineers and technicians in detailed design, including allocation of workload to the team.

-   Preparation of project specifications, involving use of both standard specifications prepared by external agencies and in-house specifications

-   Attendance at design team meetings, site meetings and client consultations.

-   Monitor the financial progress of projects and report to the Director in charge

-   Contribute to the training and development of staff

-   Seek to build on relationships with existing clients

-   Generate a client focused approach within the team

Ideally candidates will have a minimum of 7 years experience of designing large-scale building structures and be a Chartered Engineer with a recognised construction related body.
