Lincoln Avenue Health & Wellbeing Centre, Belfast

Doran Consulting was commissioned, by the Belfast Health & Social Care Trust, to provide design services for this centre, which was constructed using mainly a concrete frame with a structural steel roof and traditional foundations. The scheme also incorporated the construction of a semi-basement carpark with an additional upper parking deck which was formed in structural steel.

The structure was highly co-ordinated to give the required architectural form, particularly in the 3-storey atrium which is a central feature of the structure. The project also incorporated a courtyard which has been landscaped to provide a high quality amenity space.

For this project, Doran Consulting received the Showcase Build & Design Award for Best Non-Residential in June 2008 and were subsequently instructed on the design of the Health & Wellbeing facilities for the Shankill Road and Andersontown.
