Doran Consulting provide a range of civil and structural engineering design services in relation to renewable energy facilities. We have advised on a range of systems including small to medium hydro-electric schemes, offshore and onshore windfarms including the landmark wind turbine assembly facility at D1 in Belfast Harbour, energy from waste initiatives including anaerobic digestion facilities, transmission facilities including the AC to DC Converter Stations for the Moyle Interconnector between Scotland and Northern Ireland and also on the East West Interconnector between the Republic of Ireland and Wales and nuclear power stations including Sizewell B in England.

We can offer design and support services for the full life cycle of renewable energy projects from conception through to implementation including initial site identification, feasibility analysis, economic assessment, energy output estimation, environmental impact assessments, detailed design, tendering, procurement and construction with post operational support.

We are able to offer innovative and practical energy solutions in all the above situations, with the electricity produced in relation to the renewable energy installations being either sold to the National Grid, put to private use or used to displace energy consumed in industrial premises.
