Michael Bassett

Michael joined Doran Consulting in 2022 and is a Chartered Member of Engineers Ireland. He has more than 20 years’ experience in infrastructure design and previously worked as a Principal Civil Engineer, including three years at Associate level.

Michael specialises in Design and Build projects, sustainable drainage systems (SuDS), industrial developments, education, hospitality, health and safety, and risk assessment and method statements (RAMS). He is also a qualified Road Safety Auditor in the UK and Ireland.

His current project portfolio includes Riverside II Energy from Waste, Kintore Substation Extension, Old Bushmills Distillery expansion works and external works associated with Belfast Grand Central Station. Michael is an active member of Engineers Ireland and has chaired the Donegal Region committee since 2019.
