Karen Dolan

Karen joined Doran Consulting in 1996, became an Associate in 2004 and was promoted to Technical Director in 2024. She specialises in construction health and safety and works closely with clients, contractors and designers to support best practice and compliance with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations.

Karen provides Principal Designer and PSDP services across civil, structural, marine, public health and infrastructure projects, including direct appointments, Design and Build projects and frameworks. Key projects include the Causeway Distillery for Old Bushmills Distillery and associated maturation warehouses, Project Curium at London Luton Airport, City Quays developments and Belfast Grand Central Station.

Karen also has civil engineering design and project management experience and is Doran Consulting’s Integrated Management System Manager, responsible for maintaining accreditation to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 19650.
