Jack  Shiels

Jack graduated from Queen’s University Belfast in 2016 and joined Doran Consulting in 2019, working within the Water Team. He became a Chartered Member of the Institution of Chemical Engineers in 2023.

Jack has delivered water and wastewater treatment projects from optioneering through to final design for clients including NI Water, Uisce Éireann and Severn Trent Water. His experience includes process design, hydraulic design and mechanical and electrical layout design for wastewater projects serving up to 100,000 population equivalent (PE).

Key projects include Ards North, Ballymakeera, Ballykelly and Tullow wastewater treatment works. Jack also has experience as a HAZOP facilitator, while his clean-water work includes process design for Lettermacaward and Killybegs water treatment works.
