Geoff Johnston

Geoff joined Doran Consulting in 2000 and was appointed Associate in 2006. A Chartered Scientist and Chartered Engineer, he works within the Public Health Team and specialises in water quality, water supply and wastewater engineering.

His expertise includes water treatment plant treatability studies, wastewater treatment process and civil design, feasibility studies, environmental monitoring and chemical analysis. Before joining Doran Consulting, Geoff worked in the IRTU Water Quality Branch, undertaking specialist water sampling, flow measurement and laboratory chemical analysis.

Geoff has contributed to treatability studies for Caugh Hill and Glenhordial water treatment plants and to the process design of more than 15 wastewater treatment plants. He also has project management and site supervision experience and is a member of the Northern Ireland CIWEM committee.
