We are inviting applications from enthusiastic Chemical Engineering students currently completing their final year of study, with a view to graduating in summer 2027, for a Graduate Process Engineer position within our Water Team from summer/autumn 2027 onwards.
As a busy and dynamic Civil and Structural Engineering Consultancy, our Water Team works on a wide range of water and wastewater projects across the UK and Ireland. Our process engineers are involved in the assessment and design of processes for water and wastewater treatment plants, working alongside engineers from other disciplines.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their technical skills through involvement in a range of process engineering activities, including the assessment of raw water characteristics, influent flows and chemical loadings; identification and design of suitable water and wastewater treatment processes; preparation of process layouts; and sizing of process units and associated equipment.
The role may also include involvement in hydraulic design, pump selection, process-related equipment, sludge treatment and the management of treatment by-products, as well as providing input to wider multidisciplinary design activities.
Alongside project work, Graduate Process Engineers may have the opportunity to gain experience in areas such as water sampling and environmental monitoring, interpretation of chemical analysis, development of novel processes and process engineering for other applications.
You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, gaining practical experience across different stages of project delivery while developing your technical skills alongside experienced engineers.
We provide regular training and development opportunities to support our graduate engineers as they progress their careers and work towards professional qualifications.
Applicants should be studying towards a BEng or MEng in Chemical Engineering, with a good general academic background and an anticipated graduation date of summer 2027.
