Doran Consulting has advised on the structural and civil design aspects of a wide range of retail developments, both locally and nationally. Key projects have included the construction of entirely new retail parks replete with steel-framed structures housing retail units, traffic system layouts, car parking facilities and office space, such as the Bridgewater Retail Outlet in Banbridge.
We have also recently been commissioned to provide a range of design advice in relation to the highly prestigious Victoria Square development in Woking, Surrey, which will see the delivery of over 125,000ft2 of retail space including a four star hotel, apartments and car parking facilities in Woking town centre. This development will link the existing Wolsey Place and Peacocks Shopping Centres in Woking, for both of which we have in the past provided design advice in relation to extensive refurbishments.
We also have experience in the restoration and refurbishment of historic buildings to house retail facilities whilst conserving key architectural features, such as the Tesco Metro Store in central Belfast. Another element of our retail experience includes providing structural and civil engineering design services in relation to vehicle showrooms, having undertaken commissions in both Northern Ireland and Scotland.
